I made a body-lovin’ healthy dinner this eve, and it was scrumptious.
Eating healthy food is the ultimate sign of self-love, ultimate proof that you really do care for your body…. I learned that from writing in a journal this weekend….
It’s a chicken stir fry. And, since I totally felt like pita, I stuffed it inside pitas like so….
It was OK. Pita got a bit mushy.
The chicken’s yellowy because I use turmeric. Which is virtually tasteless, but SO healthy for you — so say the Ayurvedics…. (Ayurveda is the diet side of Yoga….) I put turmeric in everything.
Okay, the Gorgeous GOSSIPS await. Must dash and then heal from this pesky cold with MUCH SLEEP (rascal-permitting, of course). Come join us!

I WISH my daughter would sit through a movie. Instead, she gets freaked out by the loud darkness and wants to leave 2 minutes in!

My son’s first movie was Toy Story. We did not make it through the movie, he just did not quite grasp the concept. When he saw the toys up on screen he wanted to go up and play with them! LOL

I took DD to her first movie when she was 3. “Lilo and Stitch” she loved it but kept her fingers in her ears the entire time cuz it was LOUD. Now the little stinker wants to go see all the movies. SHOOT she used to be content to wait until it came out on DVD and check it out for free from the library.
Actually while salt does sting, it kinda feels like a good sting on a mouth wound. I freaked my mom out really good as a child by wanting really satly foods after mouth injuries. (running around with a fishing pole and rammed it in my mouth…yuck! and had minor surgery once too.)
I just finished reading “What the Dog Did”…oh it is sooooo funny.

We saw Horton too… it was good. But (bad parents), we just took the “big guys” and left the little one (same age as the Monkey) at day care.

Funny - we saw that too on Sat. Of course, I’m not so nice, left little one at my mom’s because he is almost 2 & would not have sat for anything! I loved the movie too. Have a good week.

I remember taking The Boy to see Finding Nemo when he was 2ish and HE SLEPT THROUGH ALL OF IT! I was RIPPED OFF!

i took isabella to see alvin and the chipmunks in december. we spent more time in the bathroom peeing and more time on the floor eating popcorn off the floor than actually watching the movie.

Oh! I saw the Other Boleyn Girl this weekend and I spent the entire movie explaining how it was different from the book. Ick. I am always disappointed in movies made from books. Oh well.

HEY! We saw Horton on Saturday too! The adults enjoyed it as much as my 11, 9, and 5 year old! FanTAStic movie! But what is UP with the cost of a movie these days…don’t these people know we’re in a recession! $84.00 for a family of 5! Am I the only person in the world that thinks this is reDICulous??!!

I too am reading The other Boleym Girl, I have about 100 pages more to go… it’s wonderful huh!!! I want to see the movie, but they never seem to do the books justice! Your meals always look so good, can you come cook for me and my family… for warned Jackson hates everything… thanks your a real peach!!!

That’s cool that you guys could go to see a flick! My mother used to make me take my brother and sister to see a movie every Saturday. I was 8, he was 5 and she was 2. She cried and cried adn cried! The guy at the theatre finally told me I couldn’t bring her anymore. Ha!

Turmeric - what’s the secret Haley ? And what’s your secret in being able to handle chicken ? I mean with your aversion to mammals… I kind of feel the same about poultry. It’s unfortunate, because I think my body needs it. So I really DO want your secret !

You are always such a breath of fresh air! Seriously, I can be in the worst mood, come here and read you and then I’m LMAO!
My puppy does the same thing with my water and I always have to gauge whether or not she got tongue into it.
We so have the same taste in books and movies (and even music…I’m obsessed with Timbaland too!). I’ll have to check out your current read. I find myself thinking in British accents whenever I read one of those too, lol!
